Have a demonstrated recovery from a mental illness, substance use disorder or both. Possess good moral character. Complete all necessary requirements to become a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist. Agree to respect and observe the PRSS Code of Ethics. Must have a working knowledge of the drug and alcohol treatment system and a demonstrated commitment to the recovery community. Prior case management experience preferred. Knowledge of Sooner Care helpful. Ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, socioeconomic, and educational levels.
