During the last nine years, Community Health Shawnee Family Medical Center has had a major (and positive) impact on the health of Pottawatomie County residents. The Center has recorded more than 28,000 patient visits! In 2021 alone, the Center welcomed 1,441 individual patients, which accounted for 4,431 total visits. Patients ranged in age from under 1 to over 85. Women represented 62 percent of all patients served. The vast majority of patients were Medicaid or had no insurance coverage.
